汪 汪 ! 新年每天都可以吃饱饱了 ~

代毛孩们，从心底由衷感激大家, 非常感谢 ( 鞠躬)🙇‍♂️

心存感恩, 当每一次狗粮送进园区时, 看到那满满一罗里的狗粮, 里面的毛孩不用挨饿, 心里非常宽慰, 但是答应狗饼商的付款却付不出来, (每个礼拜至少要还300包的狗粮费用) 兽医诊所也希望我们在新年之前偿还2万马币的医药费, 工友的薪水＋过年的红包也高达7万马币.

园区救援、收留太多狗狗. 3,000多只毛孩除了天天等着开饭 , 年老生病的老毛孩医药费暴增. 来自大众的求救信息、电话，却依旧天天爆满.

这一头，是爆满的园区, 另一头，是街上永无止境的可怜浪浪

夹在中间的我们, 无奈无助….

园区目前的经济状况已拉红色警报, 有时一天甚至筹不到一百块.

虽然我们都一直努力在跑活动、自创商品、经营Shopee义卖店，直播义卖, 拼命维持园区运作. 但募资反应，还是真的差太多了.

再加上百物上涨, 现实让人不得不低头…情况非常、非常糟糕

可以说每天活在恐慌中, 害怕哪天断粮，或再也没钱带猫狗看医生..

希望大家帮帮园区, 让我们安全渡过今年的经济低迷 …

Woof woof! Every day in the new year, we can eat our fill~ On behalf of the furry ones, we sincerely thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much (bowing) 🙇‍♂️

With a heart full of gratitude, every time we see a truckload of dog food entering the shelter, and the furry ones inside don’t have to go hungry, it brings immense relief. But we’re unable to fulfill our promise to the dog biscuit merchant, unable to pay (we need to pay at least for 300 bags of dog food every week). The veterinary clinic also hopes we can repay the medical bills of RM20,000 before the new year. The salaries of the workers plus the Chinese New Year red packets amount to a total of RM70,000. The shelter rescues and takes in too many dogs. With over 3,000 furry ones waiting for their meals every day, the medical expenses for the elderly and sick furry ones have skyrocketed. Despite the overwhelming influx of rescue requests and calls from the public every day, we still cannot meet the demand.

On one hand, there’s a shelter bursting at the seams, on the other, there are countless poor strays on the streets. Sandwiched in the middle, we feel helpless and powerless… The shelter’s current financial situation has raised a red alert, sometimes we can’t even raise a hundred bucks in a day. Although we’ve been tirelessly organizing events, creating our own products, managing Shopee charity shops, and doing live-streamed charity sales to keep the shelter running, the response to fundraising efforts is still far from enough. Adding to the challenge, prices of goods are rising, making the situation extremely, extremely dire.

It’s fair to say we live in constant panic, afraid that one day we might run out of food, or never have enough money to take our cats and dogs to the vet again… We hope everyone can help the shelter so we can safely get through this year’s economic downturn…

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
