维持一个收容3000多只流浪猫狗的大型收容所，每月的基本开支是非常的庞大的.

每个月毛孩都需要

18000kg的粮食

4920 罐狗罐头

465罐猫罐头,

20桶 猫狗洗澡水

这是一个庞大的开销, 再加上园区里面住着为数不少的老年毛孩和行动不便/残缺的毛孩，医药费更是沉重的负担.

收容所的维修, 水电费以及工友的薪水每月也要8-9万来维持.

每一天都要想办法去筹款, 义卖物品….

还有许多要求救援和收容的讯息和电话….

我们很努力的跑在这条路上, 但是扛在肩膀上的债务却压得我们真的喘不过气. 一向坚强的嘉嘉阿姨也有些茫然了….但是如果我们倒下了, 里面3000多只毛孩子该怎么办?

Maintaining a large shelter that accommodates over 3000 stray cats and dogs entails substantial monthly operational expenses. Each month, the furry residents require:

18,000 kg of food

4920 cans of dog food

465 cans of cat food

20 barrels of shampoo for cats and dogs

These expenses, coupled with medical costs for elderly and disabled/injured furry kids within the facility, create a heavy financial burden. Additionally, the shelter incurs monthly costs of 80,000 to 90,000 for repairs, utilities, and staff salaries. Every day involves fundraising efforts, selling items, and responding to numerous rescue and shelter requests.

Despite our tireless efforts, the weight of debt is making it difficult to breathe. Auntie Jia Jia, who has always been strong, is starting to feel a bit lost. But if we were to fall, what would happen to the 3000+ furry kids inside?

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
