These fraudsters, most active on Telegram messenger, lure unsuspecting individuals into donating to PAWS’s bank account under the false promise of a modest monetary reward. Once the victims receive this initial sum, they are coerced into depositing a larger amount into the scammer’s cryptocurrency account for bogus online investments. Regrettably, victims not only lose the entire sum but also find themselves unable to withdraw any funds.

Victims have reported these scams to the authorities. However, due to PAWS’s bank account being featured in the scammer’s messages, the account was frozen. Efforts to restore the account proved futile. Moreover, when PAWS switched to a different bank account, the scammers promptly updated their message, causing PAWS to be repeatedly flagged by authorities and banks.

PLEASE AVOID engaging in any “opportunities” from unverified sources, especially those requiring money deposits or task execution. These scams have severely impacted PAWS’s fundraising capabilities, hindering their ability to assist homeless animals. PAWS is actively working to resolve this issue.
