Rescued from a temple in Bangkok, he was found with a life-threatening wound to his right eye, oozing with maggots and pus. It breaks our hearts to think of the pain he must have been in 💔.

We don’t know what happened to Carrot Boy, but it was evident that he needed urgent medical treatment. Our Bangkok team provided him with initial treatment and he was then transferred to our Phuket hospital to receive emergency surgery and supportive care.

Despite being 8 years old, Carrot Boy made an extraordinary, speedy recovery in just a little over 6 months 💪✨. He is now a permanent resident at the Gill Dalley Sanctuary and enjoys daily walks and cuddles with our staff and volunteers – isn’t that just incredible?
