Mama dog and puppies used to seek refuge in the empty showroom, however, there are new development plans there now and construction has started. The puppies no longer have a home to go to now. One pup probably hit by car and already died. The mama dog is very protective. They are always lingering near to the construction area that in front of Riverville Residences, Taman Sri Sentosa. Worry that the residents will call the local authority to catch them, hope anyone can rescue and foster/adopt them before too late.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
