On October 10th, 2023, the staff from Petronas Penapisan Terengganu Sdn Bhd (PP(T)SB) and their families hung out with us for their big event, Lestari Carnival 2023. It was their second last day, and we had a blast together!

The evening started off with a welcoming speech from Mr. Jamal B Haron, the Managing Director and CEO of PP(T)SB. And then, our Executive Director, Dr. Chen Pelf Nyok, gave an insight about terrapins and their threats, as well as TCS’s conservation efforts and how PP(T)SB helped us achieve our goals. After that, everyone enjoyed a lovely evening tea with their families and staff.

We want to give a huge shoutout and express our gratitude to PP(T)SB for their amazing act of symbolically adopting and releasing 100 river terrapins into the Kemaman River!

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011.
