Pets are family members. You don’t surrender or give-up on your family members when the going gets tough. Instead of asking outright to surrender your dogs – look for a temporary place for them until you clear up your mess. MDDB is here to help destitute street dogs and hence, we cannot be taking in your pets in simply because you have hit a snag. When you call us, especially me WM, asking to surrender your pets – you will receive a severe tongue lashing unless you are old and frail, have a debilitating illness or are terminal. Under these three circumstances – we will help you without much ado. And please don’t whine about how difficult your lives are. My rescue partners and I are baby boomers born in the 60s – we had gone to hell and back many times throughout our lives – so we have little sympathy for your sad tales, more so if you are a strapping young person.Please be responsible and don’t easily dump your pets.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
