A Man And His Dog Were Viciously Attacked Recently..

⚠️ 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗵, 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗮 ⚠️

A man and his dog were viciously attacked recently by a Rottweiler roaming freely along SS 24/10, Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya.

He was walking his leashed dog along Megah Rise Mall when the Rottweiler dashed across the main road to attack them, completely unprovoked. The vicious dog chased and attacked them across multiple roads. Fortunately, a few brave men in front of the shops helped restrain the dog. The victim was sent to a hospital for severe bite wounds, where he underwent emergency surgery, hospitalization and rabies vaccinations costing RM20,000.

Polis Diraja Malaysia and Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar reports were lodged immediately but rejected, stating it was beyond their jurisdictions. Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya was alerted and the suspected dog owner was identified based on SPCA Selangor, Malaysia’s investigation.

However, MBPJ was unable to prosecute them for the attack due to a lack of visual evidence. The irresponsible owner was issued a RM250 compound fine for not possessing a dog license, and denied that he ever let the dog out.

A day later, witnesses recorded visual evidence of that dog roaming freely again. The selfish, negligent owner clearly disregarded the authorities’ warning and safety of others. The victim managed to locate more eyewitnesses and potential CCTV recordings of the attack. According to witnesses, the dog has attacked multiple victims prior to this, and they fear for their own safety when crossing that road daily.

All these information were promptly submitted to MBPJ, but the authorities considered the case as closed, and were not keen to pursue the investigation further or follow up on the evidence provided.

The victim and witnesses wish to urgently highlight this case to the public, as such vicious attacks may recur due to the owner’s recklessness. If the victims were elderly or kids, it may result in serious injury or even death.

If you know of friends or family staying around Taman Megah or dog owners walking their pets nearby, please share this warning with them so they may take necessary precautions.

Thank you for keeping the community safe. ❤️
