Two Legs, One Indomitable Spirit 💪

In our 20-year history, few stories have captured the hearts of our supporters or the resilience of the canine spirit quite like Amira’s.

Born without front legs and left to languish on the streets for nine long years before being shot in the head, it’s hard to imagine the sheer amount of suffering Amira experienced.

But somehow, despite it all, her tail never stopped wagging and her determination never wavered.

After a remarkable recovery, Amira joined a loving family in Montreal, Canada, in 2021. She leapt straight out of her travel crate and into their arms, ready and raring to make up for the time she’d lost out on the streets.

A now 11-year-old Amira enjoys walks on her custom prosthetics, paddleboarding trips on the nearby lake and plenty of playtime with her family and rescue dog siblings – a fun and full life, just as she deserves.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
