In this instance we have no idea what happened. Could have been an accident could have been deliberate. Incredible that the body can survive injuries like this as must have been massive blood loss.

Surgery and after care will cost in region of U$150, cheap by Western standards of course but dog cannot return to streets so will stay with us for life. Another reason why our sponsorship program is so important.

Should be fine but will probably have to have leg amputated as otherwise will try and use it which could mean constant sores. We are aware from some posts that many feel amputation drastic but in reality dogs adapt very well to having 3 legs.
