The Super family (a mother-cat and her very young babies) was living on the five-foot way at the shoplots in Shah Alam when Koo spotted them in February and sourced for fosterers. I asked if Maslinda could help and she very graciously agreed. Hence, Super (the mother-cat) and her kittens, Maxie, Jamie and Sunny were transported from the five-foot way to Maslinda’s house. On route from Shah Alam to PJ, Koo brought the whole family for a check-up at the vet’s in Subang Jaya and Super and (then) babies were dewormed and given a clean bill of health. We provided a pack of RC Kitten for the nursing mum, Super, the cost which Koo reimbursed and he also helped us send the food to Maslinda.
In early March, Sunny, the boy-cat, had an abscess and was brought to the vet’s for the abscess to be drained. He is well now. http://myanimalcare.org/2012/03/07/updates-on-the-super-family-maslindas/
Other than that, the rest of them are doing well.
Koo has also been working closely with us on the Super family. He has reimbursed us in full for the medical treatments provided. He will also do his best to get the kittens adopted while Super stays on in Maslinda’s neighbourhood as a community cat. This is precisely the “working together” that we aim to cultivate. If we all chip in whatever we can, no matter how small (or big!), the task will seem lighter and more doable. And we can definitely go on and help more animals.
Today, Super was brought to the vet to be spayed. We have fully sponsored the surgery.
Here’s Super after coming home.
Super is now a permanent resident in Maslinda’s cat neighbourhood.
Thank you very much, Maslinda.
