Painted Terrapins And River Terrapins Are Differen..

Painted terrapins and river terrapins are different species found in the same rivers, but what’s the difference? One of the key differences between painted terrapins and river terrapins is their nesting location. While they live in the same rivers and both nest on the sandbanks of rivers, painted terrapins also nest on beaches. Upon hatching, the hatchlings migrate from saltwater back to the fresh water of the river.
