We Noticed There Were Many People Confused About T..

We noticed there were many people confused about the term NO KILL SHELTER. For them it meant no euthanasia for even dogs that have no hope. One of the biggest NO NO that we noticed was that many humanised dogs – not animals mind you – as they have no qualms about slaughtering to eat. Please understand that dogs are animals and they are not humans. Dogs do not understand about illness and pain, nor do they understand about karma.
(When people understand that dogs are animals and do not humanise them, dogs will not be dumped for biting shoes, for peeing all over the place, destroying things and accidentally biting their owners. They are animals, they do not know that what they are fojng is wrong.)
In MDDB, we give our dogs the best care – including not caging them. However, we are also rationalists and accept reality. That is why when any of our resident dogs die – we do the necessary and move on as there are others to care for. We do not make it about us as everything MDDB does is about the dogs. Hence, if one of dogs is terminally ill, in severe pain and no possibility of cure – we will opt for euthanasia as that is the most rational thing to do. Having said this, here some info on the difference between KILL and NO KILL shelters. Being a no kill shelter does not come with a license to prolong suffering.
What is a KILL SHELTER?
A KILL SHELTER GENERALLY EUTHANISES:

WHAT IS A NO KILL SHELTER:
1. NURTURES NEWBORN OR YOUNG PUPPIES AND PUTS THEM UP FOR ADOPTION. IF NOT ADOPTED THEY WILL BE ABSORBED INTO THE SHELTER
2. TAKES IN PREGNANT DOGS AND WAIT FOR THEM TO LITTER AFTER WHICH PUPPIES ARE PUT UP FOR ADOPTION AND THE MOTHER ABSORBED INTO THE SHELTER
3. TREATS AND TAKES IN BADLY INJURED DOGS
4. TREATS AND TAKES IN DOGS WITH TVT
