Today Is National White Cat Day, The Purrfect Time..

Today is National White Cat Day, the purrfect time to curl up with your feline friends and enjoy the heartwarming #furrytailending story of soi cat Whitewing. 🤍

Whitewing was rescued in 2021 after a car accident left her with a badly dislocated jaw. She underwent surgery, but the nature of her injury means her jaw will always be slightly out of place and her tongue sticks out from time to time. However, these quirks only add to her goofy, loving personality.

A few months after her recovery, Whitewing was chosen by our partner rescue Homeward Trails in Washington DC and placed in a foster home. Her foster mum soon realised that she couldn’t imagine life without this snowball and made her a permanent family member. Here’s an update from her:

“Whitewing was supposed to be our first foster kitty with Homeward Trails. While picking her up we noticed a scar on her face and learned her story. Since it was our first assignment, we took it seriously and prepared to make our new roommate comfortable.

We were told, that she’ll need some time to adjust to the new place. But the minute she came to our house, she knew that she was finally home. Over the first two days, she made a statement that she needs her humans 24/7. At that time we worked from home and were happy to comply.

During the first week together, we were approached by a few potential forever parents but based on the questions and requests, we realized that no other family can give her that much love and attention she deserves and demands. 🙂

She can talk to you and tell you stories all day long. She’ll snuggle and help you to survive endless meetings at work. She’s the most special kitty we’ve ever met. She’s very sweet, extremely social and playful cat. Now as she’s part of our family, we can’t imagine our life without her.”
