Our Beautiful Sandy Passed Away In Her Sleep Last ..

Our beautiful Sandy passed away in her sleep last night. The cancer had spread to her lungs and ravaged her old body. Sandy is extra special.

She came to us in a batch of 18 dogs that were rendered homeless after their owner commited suicide in early 2014. She was the mother of 16 of the dogs that belonged to various litters. She was apparently a former stray who befriended the deceased man’s Rottie named Vera and found herself a home. Vera, who has also since passed away, was the friendliest and moat beautiful Rottie we had ever seen. Sandy will be joining her best friend Vera at tge Rainbow Bridge and hopefully they will be reunited with their human daddy Karl Heinz. Carl had informed a friend of his that he wanted us to take his dogs in a message before commiting suicide. We did just that and took care of them all to our best ability. All of Sandy’s puppies have been rehomed. With Sandy gone – that ends MDDB’s promise to a dead man. Rest in peace Sandy. We love both you and Vera so very much. Rest in peace Karl Heinz, we kept our promise.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
