From shy to a shining star 🌟

Maggotia was found limping around the grounds of a temple in Surat Thani. She was a puppy at the time and had a large open wound on her front leg. Fortunately, someone alerted our mobile clinic staff in the area who picked her up and transferred her to our shelter in Phuket.

While Maggotia made a full physical recovery, she struggled with the emotional side of things. This sweet girl was confident in familiar spaces but shy and uncertain when venturing further. We were so grateful when our amazing partner rescue The Barking Lot took a chance on Maggotia and chose her to join them in San Diego, USA.

After a short time in The Serial Foster foster home, Maggotia found her forever family who renamed her Chili. They recently sent us the following heartwarming update:

“My husband and I are so in love with [Chili]. She is doing great.

She is a healthy, sweet, active, smart girl. We love cuddling with her, playing with her, training her, and going on fun adventures with her. This summer we travelled to the mountains of Colorado and the California Sierras. She is a true outdoor dog, and loves romping in the mountains and creeks, being in tune with her nature side.

Thank you so much for the care that you bring to so many dogs and cats in Thailand. We are so grateful for you!”
