Did you know that painted terrapins help to keep rivers clean? They do so by scavenging on carcasses in the rivers, preventing the spread of bacteria by reducing the amount of food available to them. This can help prevent disease in both animals as well as humans in the local environment!

As the population of painted terrapins is dwindling, it is essential that we protect them. Together with @coffeebeanmy, we are holding the Save Terry Campaign to help achieve this goal.
