2018 continued #SoiDog20Years 🧡
Soi Dog’s large-scale spay/neuter programme (known as CNVR – Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) grew further in 2018 when a fifth team was launched.
By the end of the year, over 80,000 animas had been reached by the programme and the milestone of a quarter-of-a-million animals neutered and vaccinated since 2003 had been surpassed.
Soi Dog’s CNVR programme wasn’t the only thing growing at a rate of knots. At the Gill Dalley Sanctuary, the number of animals was rising every day, and more dog enclosures were desperately needed.
Following another increase in the total size of the sanctuary to over six acres, eight more enclosures were built during the year. By the end of December, the sanctuary was home to almost 1,000 animals.
That number would have been much higher had it not been for another successful year of adoptions which saw 820 dogs and cats leave for new homes!
