Medical fund for Nexgard

SCAS has since the last two to three months, facing a very great challenge. Our shelter is going through a very severe tick outbreak and it has yet to end. We have been tiredlessly sending dogs to the clinic and almost all of them were attacked by tick fever. Tick fever can be fatal and we never take it lightly but sadly, almost all the dogs that diagnosed with tick fever, could not make it through. We have been tick washing the whole shelter and our dogs, as well as bought Nexgard to feed each and every one of them so that they can be protected from this terrible outbreak. However, may be because of the tick fever virus already stayed in the dogs and many of them fell ill one by one. We have never experienced losing so many dogs in such a short time, young and old…it was so very heart breaking. Needless to say, we have incurred heavy medical costs which, increased so much of our financial burden that already been so heavy from day one.

We are still continuously and tiredlessly to do what we can to put this outbreak under control. Our workers and volunteers have been very hardworking to tick wash the shelter monthly, feed the medicines and we would want to give one more round of Nexgard to our dogs in order to reduce the chances of tick fever attack to zero, if possible. Hence, SCAS would like to appeal for some fund to purchase nexgard which, is not a cheap drug as it is very effective in controlling ticks.
