We publicised Joo Gyee’s rescued kitten, in need of a fosterer and Lisa responded!
From Lisa:
Hi dr kah yein
Update on joo gyee’s kitten – I met joo gyee’s today to pick up little kitty here (vet can’t be sure yet but she thinks it’s a girl) and she seems to be settling in well. Vet says it will be about 5 weeks or so till her wounds fully heal. Her front leg is broken, vet says it will heal with time but there might always be a slight limp. She’s a fighter though! With a healthy appetite and a big meow, prefers sleeping by my feet than in her cage. Picture as attached. She’s a little scruffy looking but I’m sure she will clean up just fine once her wounds heal.
I’ll have her vaccinated and dewormed again in about a month, hopefully she will have a speedy recovery and someone will give her a forever home?
Best regards
Lisa
Thank you very much, Lisa, for responding to Joo Gyee’s appeal.

A message from Joo Gyee on 6th April:
Hi Ladies,
I do not know how to describe my gratitude to both of you as I never think the fostering would be a successful one! Cause in Penang, it’s really hard to get rescued animals adopted or fostered from my past experiences. Even on the day I brought kitten to Vet, I’d tried to ask the awaiting owners at the clinic to either help to foster or adopt but they just said sorry, that time, I already started to plan to send her to the SPCA SP after recover from her injuries then I saw the replies from both of you! These news really enlighten me for the whole night cause this is the 1steverreplied!( I only published in FB for my past appeals & it never success ).
Dr Chan, your blog really means a lot to me, it has saved so many lives and it also does act as a educational channel to the next generation, to teach them how to treasure every single living in this world, this including my kids.
And Lisa, you are a wonderful young lady with a big heart! Many many thanks to you for helping me to take care kitty even though she is not well now.
Let’s pray kitty will recover soon and become a beautiful princess Snow White and of course, going to a loving permanent home. Please keep me update on her progress, my kids will like to know how’s their 1st rescued going on from time to time too.
Once again, a bow to both of you and thank you!
BRs
joogyee
