This International Cat Day, We Have Some Exciting ..

This International Cat Day, we have some exciting news to share about our FIV+ cats 😸

As you may know, Soi Dog is committed to caring for cats with feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). But with close to 40 resident cats in the FIV Suite of our cattery, things were starting to get a little crowded…

So for their wellbeing, we recently moved them into their very own house! 🏡

The barn-style house – located close to the shelter – is bigger, brighter and even boasts a garden for them to explore.

With extra room and enrichment, plus a full-time carer on site, we have already noticed an improvement in their health – less stress meaning greater immunity against the secondary infections that come with the FIV virus.

The FIV house is the closest we can offer to a home for these cats, many of whom sadly won’t be adopted on account of their condition. Thank you so much for making it possible.
