Brinley may not look like your typical Thai street dog, but sadly, that’s where he was found: on the streets alone after being hitting by a car. Though he was most likely a pet, no one came to claim him.

The accident left him with severe injuries to his eye, jaw and leg. Our vets had no choice but to remove his eye to relieve the excruciating pain he was in. However, they were able to save his leg and repair his jaw.

Nine months later, in August 2019, Brinley was adopted by a lovely family in the UK. They shared this lovely update recently in celebration of his 4th gotcha day and as he approaches his 13th birthday:

“Brinley is the sweetest, feistiest little fur ball and we immediately fell in love with him and were very protective towards him. He gets lots of cuddles which he loves almost as much as his food.

He suffers from pancreatitis and we thought we nearly lost him but, with care, he pulled through twice! This is under control now with a very specific diet. Sadly, he lost his other eye last year due to glaucoma.

Brinley comes with us wherever we go. He is much loved by the whole family and friends. He has his own carrier so that we can take Muddy, our other dog, on longer walks and Muddy occasionally allows him to be used as a head rest 😊 He is our little sweetheart dog with 9 lives.”
