At Fourteen Years Old, Akemi Found Himself Utterly..

At fourteen years old, Akemi found himself utterly alone in the world when his owner passed away. 😔 Seeking comfort, he sought refuge in the building he used to call home. However, fate had a cruel twist in store and the building was sold leaving poor Akemi not only alone but also homeless. 💔

With the help of animal lovers like you, we were able to find Akemi and bring him to the safety of our sanctuary. And a good thing too. After examining him, our veterinary team were shocked to see that he was blind in his left eye and partially blind in his right eye. 😥

As an elderly dog on his own, Akemi was already in a vulnerable position. We can’t even imagine how terrified he must have been without being able to see properly.

Akemi will now receive all of the ongoing healthcare he needs. Sadly, we can’t bring his owner back for him, but we can ensure that he will never have to face life alone again.
