⚠️ Upsetting images ⚠️ Being a sick and blind cat trying to survive on his own, Burgess had already used at least one of his nine lives. Thankfully, the next was going to be the luckiest.

A visitor to the island just so happened to see Burgess on his own, and after a quick first glance it was obvious that he was in desperate need of help.

With a severe corneal rupture in both eyes, Burgess was left without sight, a heartbreaking situation. 😥 Making matters worse, he was also suffering from lice eggs all over his hair and skin, as well as a sore mouth from gingivitis and a fractured tooth.

We dread to think what would have happened if it wasn’t for the kind person who found him. With the damage to his eyes already so severe, Burgess needed to have surgery to remove them. He is also receiving ongoing treatment for his other needs.
