It Is With A Heavy Heart That We Bring You News Of..

It is with a heavy heart that we bring you news of the passing of Na Tong 🌈

⬇️ To honour his memory and celebrate his unforgettable character, we invite you to share your stories, photos and videos of this Soi Dog veteran in the comments below.

We first met Na Tong in 2010 when he was just a year old. Found abandoned at a construction site, our rescue officers brought him to the shelter for his safety.

Little did we know what an impact he would go on to make.

Na Tong spent almost a decade at the shelter, during which time he left a lasting impression on staff and volunteers and earned a reputation as the undisputed leader of the A4 run.

When he finally found a home in March 2020, after nine years and nine months with us, he also became an inspiration for senior dogs everywhere that it is never, ever too late for a second chance.

Na Tong left on one of the last flights from Thailand to the UK before both countries went into Covid lockdown, joining his loving adopter Adele in Reading.

“It’s my mission to make these years his happiest and healthiest yet and make every day count,” said Adele when he arrived. And she did exactly that.

Thanks to her, Na Tong discovered the joy of countryside walks, the comfort of a sofa and what it meant to be truly loved and understood. He also surprised us all by befriending Charlie, a one-eyed cat who was adopted into the family after him.

Sadly, Na Tong passed away last week at the age of 14 after three beautiful years with Adele and Charlie.

We are forever grateful to Adele for giving Na Tong the home he so deserved in his golden years, and we thank everyone who loved him along his journey.
