ANYONE CAN HELP?

Jacky

Hi,

I’m writing from in Tanjung Malim to seek help for a furry doggo friend.

Jacky, was adopted from the streets by my father in law about 2 years ago. My father in law is a senior citizen who lives with his wife. A year ago, my sister in-law who is a Singaporean, gave birth. Uncle had to start making long regular trips to singapore to be with his wife and daughter. Whenever he had to go to singapore, he would stock up on food for Jacky and his kind neighbour would help feed Jacky daily. Unfortunately, sometimes they couldn’t make the commitments as they too were seniors who sometimes had to go live with their children. Uncle was fearful that Jacky may starve while he was in sg. Out of fear for Jacky’s well being and out of options, he asked a friend to help take care of Jacky. The friend placed Jacky in a farm for the past 6 months. On the 28th of June, my elderly father in law, my wife and i went to visit Jacky. To my horror, we found him to be all skin and bones. It seems that he hadn’t been taken care of. He seems very depressed. The caretaker said that Jacky hadn’t eaten properly for a week. When we fed him, he refused to eat. He overturned the bowl and buried the food with stones and soil. There is another dog there. He seems to be fairing a little better but i wish for him to be out too.

Before we left, he bit my wife’s shirt and tore it. We have never seen this behaviour and are very worried for him. We are unable to find him a better home nor are we able to bring him with us to Singapore. We have tried asking relatives to help out but facing difficulty there. Jacky is in a very sorry state and we really want to find him a loving home before we have to head back out of Malaysia. If there is any available help in Tanjung Malim, i would truly appreciate the gesture. Can you help our family? I can be contacted via whatsapp at (+65) 91383615.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
