Volunteering At Soi Dog Is A Special Experience Bu..

Volunteering at Soi Dog is a special experience – but don’t just take our word for it!

Hear from two former volunteers, Scarlett and Toby, who flew over from the UK to give their time at the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket, Thailand, last year:

“My dad is a long-time supporter of Soi Dog and has often said it’s the place in the world where he feels happiest. (He’s now a trustee of Soi Dog UK.) So, my husband Toby and I wanted to find out what all the fuss was about!

Since returning to London, we can’t stop telling our friends what a lovely experience we had at Soi Dog, and now many of them are planning to fly over, too. Toby and I were both incredibly impressed by the facilities, the efficiency of the organisation and the passion of those who work there.

The dogs and cats are so clearly in need of a little love, fun and affection, and helping the Soi Dog staff provide that to them every day was nothing short of joyous.

Then there’s the social scene… We made some excellent friends and enjoyed plenty of post-volunteering dinners, drinks and dancing. Numbers have been swapped and now there’s even more reason to return.”
