Dear all,

Firstly my apologies for accidentally posting this here. It was meant to be posted on my personal Timeline but I did not notice that I was on the MDDB ID. I would have just deleted this but one comment made me want to respond. I have worked in The Star for almost 30 years and I have had many doors and opportunities opened up to me because of this. Most importantly, my employers allow me to write and comment about animal rescue and cruelty. They are very supportive and my bosses become equally upset when cases of animal cruelty surfaces. So, let’s appreciate The Star at least a little for that.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
