On 13th June, the SPCA was alerted by a kind member of public about 2 kittens being found abandoned inside a plastic bag. The SPCA attended to the case. Both kittens are bright and healthy and are now being cared for by an SPCA fosterer.
The feedback provider had shared that he observed a truck driver allegedly leave the kittens there. The SPCA has noted the vehicle details and escalated it to the authorities.

Abandonment is a crime and under the Animals and Birds Act, individuals who are found guilty of pet abandonment can face a maximum fine of $10,000, or a jail term of up to 12 months, or both.
