From a heartbreaking accident to a new home filled with adventure ❤️

While it’s not too uncommon for purebred dogs to find their way to our shelter, Mazuna’s case was particularly heartbreaking. This lovely labrador was hit by a car after escaping from her home and running into a busy road. By a stroke of luck, one of our vets happened to be driving along that same road shortly after and spotted her lying helplessly in pain.

It was a long recovery for Mazuna who had a fractured humerus bone that required surgery and months of bed rest. Sadly, her previous owner couldn’t continue to care for her, so Mazuna remained at the shelter after her recovery.

However, in the same year, she was welcomed into a new home right here in Phuket, Thailand. Here’s an update from her dad:

“Mazuna quickly became settled in and every day she amazed us with her good behavior and calmness. She has completely changed our lives and we are now a family unit.

She is very socialized with other dogs and people and we literally take her pretty much everywhere with us, She loves being in the car and swimming we are lucky we live near the beach and most mornings we are there playing with her friends and tennis balls.

We would like to say a big thank you to the adoption team and medical staff for making it possible to have her in our lives. We hope that our family’s story will inspire others who are looking to adopt.”
