Melbo was born on the busy streets of Thailand. Sadly, around the time of his first birthday, those streets got the better of him and he was hit by a car. Injured and scared, he was left stranded on a traffic island in the middle of the road, waiting for someone to get help. Fortunately, they did.

That was back in November last year. It’s incredible to think how far he’s come since then. In a matter of months, Melbo has gone from almost immobile to full of energy and life. His eyes, once bloodshot from haemorrhage, are now soft and bright.

And he’s recently been given the green light for adoption!

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
