Today marks six years since the world lost a hero for homeless animals and a true visionary for animal welfare in Asia and beyond – our co-founder Gill Dalley.
If you have visited The Gill Dalley Sanctuary in Phuket, you will have seen Gill’s statue, pictured here. Privately commissioned by her husband and fellow co-founder John Dalley, the statue stands by the state-of-the-art dog hospital she dedicated the last four years of her life to designing and overseeing every aspect of so that any dog that found themselves there would receive the very best treatment possible.
It looks over a sanctuary that, thanks to her tireless dedication and your unwavering support, changes the lives of thousands upon thousands of sick, injured, abandoned and abused animals every year.
And it serves as an inspiring reminder of all that Gill achieved in her 58 years and how we, too, can achieve great things, no matter what obstacles life puts in our way.
As we enter the 20th year of Soi Dog, we know Gill would be so proud of what the foundation has grown to accomplish with your support. Thank you so much for keeping her dream and legacy alive.
