Do Not Purchase An Animal On Impulse. As The Rabbi..

DO NOT PURCHASE AN ANIMAL ON IMPULSE.

As the rabbit year approaches, think carefully if you are ready to adopt or purchase one.

Did you know that it’s not always a good thing for us animals during our zodiac year? While the hoomans celebrate us, many of you also impulsively purchase us without realising the commitment required. For those of us who appear on the zodiac calendar, we experience higher occurrences of abandonment and surrender during or right after our ‘lucky’ year.

Hi everyone, it’s me again, Miffy the rabbit! In my previous post, I shared that I was surrendered. I’ve since undergone medical care at the SPCA’s Community Animal Clinic and had my sterilization done. They even detected and removed an ovarian cyst!

The SPCA hoomans also shared that people often adopt smaller animals like me because they think we’re easy to care for… which is not true! We live up to 6-12 years and our diets are a complicated mix of more than just leftover vegetables in your fridge. We’re happy if you choose to give us a home this year, but please know that I’ll be your friend for life. Just like any other pets, we require time and dedication till the end of our lives.

Stay tuned to @spcasingapore to find out if I ever found a home.

Miffy
