Roswitha Didnt Know A Better Life Was Possible, Bu..

Roswitha didn’t know a better life was possible, but she’s finally experiencing it now thanks to you ❤

Roswitha was the picture of sorrow and despair when was found by our rescue officers this time last year. A severe case of dermatitis had devastated her frail body, leaving her completely hairless and bleeding every time she tried to scratch herself to ease the pain.

After months of treatment, Roswitha’s fur and confidence started to grow back, the sparkle returned to her eyes and she went on to make one of the most incredible recoveries we saw in 2021.

We were delighted when she was chosen to join our partner rescue BARCS in Calgary, Canada, before the implementation of the import ban in September. From there, she was adopted by a lovely family who renamed her Ruby and shared the following update:

“Roswitha, now Ruby, is doing excellent! She has totally adjusted to life with my husband and I. She has had 4 lessons with a personal dog trainer and us. She can sit, shake a paw, come when called, and wait for her food. She goes on daily trips to the dog park with me for a walk, depending on what the weather is like. She is super spoiled – on a raw diet, lots of chewies (she loves to chew), and treats. She is a relaxed and well cared for dog now – lots of love and attention – just one of our family.” ❤

To give a rescued dog like Roswitha the chance to join your family, please click here: https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-dog. While we are now unable to adopt to Canada on account of the CFIA import ban, we are able to adopt to the USA, Europe and within Thailand.
