DUMPED IN THE FOREST – A MIRACULOUS RESCUE

While two volunteer rescuers were searching a vast area of remote wilderness in Turkey for two cats who had been set free from a cat sanctuary in a terrible act of malice, a meowing was heard on the cliffs above. This is an area so wide, it would take a human at least two days of walking through the forest to traverse. But somehow, in an almost inexplicable moment of destiny, the rescuers spotted a mother cat and kitten who had clearly been dumped there by someone who decided to “get rid” of their pets.

While the search continues for the two sanctuary cats, we take a moment to absorb the beauty of this unlikely rescue scenario. Mama and kitten were so hungry, they ate like wolves. They spent the night lying on a warm hot water bottle in the rescuers bathroom. Both are now safe and we hope to perhaps find international adotpers near the Boston area (USA) in the spring.
