When dogs arrive at Soi Dog with severely wounded limbs, they’re often looking at an amputation. Patchy was no different when he was admitted in January 2021 with a laceration so deep we could see the bone.

However, our vets will always exhaust other options first. Luck must have been on Patchy’s side as those options were ultimately successful. With some careful wound care (including the magic that is Manuka honey) over the course of many weeks, our vets were able to save his leg and nurse him back to full health.

In fact, seeing Patchy bound around on his walks and dive head-first into the pool (his favourite activity), you’d struggle to believe he’d ever been injured!

Patchy’s luck seems to have run out when it comes to finding a home though. After almost two years, this fun, friendly and adventurous boy is still with us. Can you give him a fresh start in 2023? https://links.soidog.org/adopt-patchy
