Soi Dog Sunflower Is Thriving In Her New Home Afte..

Soi Dog Sunflower is thriving in her new home after overcoming a vicious attack. 🌻

Sunflower was found in 2019 in a world of unbearable suffering after being slashed across the head and leg in a deliberate attack.

She was clearly terrified by what had happened to her and kept disappearing and going into hiding. During this time, the wound had become infected and infested with maggots. After several days of searching, she was finally found and rescued by our animal rescue officer.

Sunflower underwent medical treatment and received loving care, which helped her recover from not only her physical wounds but also the emotional trauma. We were beyond delighted when she was chosen to start her new life in the USA by our amazing partner rescue, Pet Medical Center of Pasco. She was quickly adopted by a wonderful couple who renamed her Emmy and shared the following update:

“Emmy is great in public, meeting new people and they have got lots of questions about her past with her scars. She loves to go for truck rides and prefers to be with her people, exploring new sights and smells. She is doing so well and absolutely loves all the snow we have had recently!

We lost her fur brother in October due to complications of Addison’s disease. Emmy spent about a week looking for him, but is adjusting to being an only child for now.”

Hundreds of dogs like Sunflower at our shelter are dreaming of their own #furrytailending. You can help make their dreams come true by visiting https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-dog and considering adoption. ❤🏠
