HAPPY TALES: ROCKY

Hi everyone, I am Rocky. I finally got adopted after waiting at the SPCA for 3 long years! I watched hoomans enter the shelter day after day, but I was never chosen. Was it because I’m older at 11? I could never win the fight for attention compared to those meowing young ones.

But then things changed. During one of SPCA’s monthly adoption drives, a man came just for me. I couldn’t believe my ears! When he approached me, I told him I was “THE ONE” with a lick. That man is now my forever dad.

During my first few weeks, I was quite nervous. I had forgotten what it was like to have a home. Dad was always patient, reassuring me. Now, I am dad’s boy and I get to snooze on the bed with him. My MOST important job is to accompany him while he works, and he rewards me with the best hugs (which I demand for) when he comes home!

Dad, thank you for giving me a home with you, and for choosing me even though I am a senior cat. I hope all my older meowfriends will have dads like you. You’re the best.
