The THREE Questions

There are many people who insist that we accept their unwanted pets or healthy strays which they do not want around their area but none of them can answer all 3 questions.

1. How many of your friends and relatives own animals?

2. How many of these animal owners actually love their pets? Will spend money on giving them GOOD food, send them to vets when they're sick, allocate time each day to play with their pets, have families who love and support keeping pets, etc..

3. And out of those who truly love their pets, how many can afford to or would like to take in another animal?

The answer to no. 3 is usually 0 although once in a while, we'll have someone who insists that there are many but doesn't know that he / she has just contradicted his / her lie by bringing the animal to an animal shelter when he / she should have given the animal to his / her MANY animal loving friends / relatives.

Once you know these 3 questions, you'll understand why we have to scrutinize every rescue case carefully as well because for those who'd been abused and have permanent scars, chances of them being adopted are almost zero which means they'll be taking up space in the shelter and suffering in cages for the rest of their lives which defeats the purpose of rescuing them in the first place.
