Today Is International Day Of Veterinary Medicine...

Today is International Day of Veterinary Medicine!

Celebrated every year on December 9th, this important day recognises the hardworking professionals who promote and protect animals’ and humans’ welfare.

Here at Soi Dog, that includes an array of talented and dedicated Thai veterinary staff who – thanks to the support of generous donors around the world – dispense thousands of treatments every year, from something as simple as eye drops for an ocular infection to long-term treatment for chronic kidney disease.

So far this year, medicinal treatments and/or vaccinations have been administered to almost 200,000 animals:

💉 Over 175,000 animals have passed through our mobile CNVR programme, all of whom received vital vaccinations against deadly diseases such as rabies, distemper and parvovirus.

🩺 An incredible 19,000 treatments were administered to animals on the street by our community outreach teams.

🏥 Just shy of 4,500 dogs and cats have received urgent treatment at our hospitals in Phuket and over 200 at our small clinic in Bangkok.

💊 And over 1,000 additional treatments for animals were administered by our 13 mobile CNVR teams.

Thank you to everyone who supports this transformative work. You are improving the welfare of stray dogs and cats in Asia each and every day.
