Three cheers for Cheerleader’s #furrytailending! 🇨🇦
Cheerleader found a safe haven at Soi Dog in 2019 after her feeder moved away, leaving her to roam the streets alone. After ten months at the shelter, she set her fluffy little paws on Canadian soil thanks to our amazing partner rescue there, Dachshund and Friends.
Cheerleader was placed in a foster home while she adjusted to her new world. She was cautious at first but soon adjusted and let her true personality shine. Shortly after Cheerleader was promoted for adoption, she was snapped up by a wonderful family who renamed her Charlie and shared the following update:
“Charlie is such an amazing part of our family. She is so caring, loving and snuggly. She went from being scared of people to snuggling up to us at night. Charlie has such a bright personality and brings so much joy to our lives. We are so lucky to have her live with us and feel pretty special that she was able to join our family. Charlie loves the dog park, snow and our backyard chickens (maybe a bit too much). She howls when she’s happy and when she’s ready for her late night, pre-bed walk!”
There are plenty more wonderful dogs like Cheerleader at our shelter waiting for their own #furrytailending, and you can meet them here: https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-dog
While we are now unable to adopt to Canada on account of the CFIA import ban, we are able to adopt to the USA, Europe and within Thailand.
