When we first met Tommy in 2019, it really seemed like he’d given up all hope. A severe skin disease had left his body almost hairless, he was weak with anaemia and he was terrified of human contact.

After weeks of treatment, much of his fur returned, though some areas of his skin were too damaged for the hair to be able to regrow. In the months that followed, he gradually regained his confidence too with help from our behaviour team.

Tommy is a smart, curious and affectionate boy who adores chin and ear scratches. He may look different from other dogs, but that’s what makes him one of a kind. Will you open your heart to this special boy? https://www.soidog.org/adopt/tommy-2747
