A flower found in Malaysia, has 5 petals, and is red in colour- did the Rafflesia come to mind?
Not only are they some of the largest flowers in the world, they’re also the smelliest; its scent is said to smell like rotting meat👃😵!
On top of dwindling habitats, the Rafflesia only blooms for a few days at a time and cannot be grown in captivity, making sightings extra special and rare.
This month on Eko-Eko, we’re bringing you Malaysian plants and animals inspired by the colours of the Jalur Gemilang. Swipe to learn some fun facts about the Rafflesia and follow us for more wildlife content! 🌏🌱
