Today Is One Health Day A Time To Acknowledge The ..

Today is One Health Day – a time to acknowledge the connection between the health of humans, animals and the environment and to call for better systems that protect them all in tandem.

Zoonotic diseases like Covid-19 are a critical example of the need for a One Health approach, and it was amidst the Covid pandemic that Soi Dog took action and joined the Action for Animal Health (A4AH) coalition.

Through A4AH, Soi Dog and a host of animal welfare and veterinary organisations across the world are urging governments and international agencies to prioritise strong animal health systems in order to prevent future pandemics.

One Health feeds into everything we do at Soi Dog, from sterilisation and vaccination, to education and community outreach, to our campaign against the dog and cat meat trade across Asia.

This means that, by supporting Soi Dog, not only are you part of an initiative that protects animals but the community and the environment at large too. The impact you are having is huge. Thank you!
