The Story Of Chinie And Chonin Back In September, ..

The story of Chinie and Chonin 😿 Back in September, our Emergency Response Team were called out to an urgent case involving two very small kittens.

At just a few weeks old, Chinie and Chonin couldn’t have possibly known the danger that was ahead of them when they stepped into a glue trap that had been set up to catch mice. 😧

Thankfully, they were able to be freed from the trap, but were left in a critical condition with glue smothering most of their small bodies. With the help of people like you, our Emergency Response Team were able to respond and bring them to our hospital.

Despite the very best efforts of our veterinary team, Chonin sadly passed away a few days later. On arrival, he tested positive for parvovirus and calicvirus. Our team tried everything they possibly could, but with the combination of infection and the trauma of the accident, his body was just too little and weak. 😔

His sister, Chinie is still fighting in the hospital. Sadly, she tested positive for the same viruses and is by no means out of the woods yet, but with the kindness of people like you – she has at least been able to receive the treatment that is giving her a chance.

For kittens like Chinie and Chonin, life just isn’t fair. No animal should have to experience such suffering. If it wasn’t for our Emergency Response Team, we dread to think how long these kittens would have had to suffer for without access to medical care.

Our Emergency Response Team is only able to continue operating with the help of people like you. The world might be a cruel place for animals like Chinie and Chonin, but we can at least try and make it a kinder place.
