Sometimes People Hoard Dogs In The Guise Of Rescue..

Sometimes people hoard dogs in the guise of rescue because they are undergoing depression. Taking the dogs in gives them solace. We received 7 dogs from this batch 2 weeks ago after the person who had them died. From her living conditions, it was evident that she was depressed. Luckily, some people from the neighbourhood spared us the expenses and paid for everything until the dogs came to us. All 7 are now at our sanctuary. Sometime last year we took 9 dogs from someone who fell flat on her face because she could not handle her rescues. They were admitted at St Angels for neutering and some of them came down with distemper. We had to remove the dogs with distemper and send them to Hashmael. Todate we still owe St Angels RM22,000 and Hashmael about RM10,000 as donations could not cover everything. The dogs are already at our sanctuary now. Then earlier this year we took in 7 dogs from an elderly lady in Gombak. They were admitted at Claws Vet for neutering and vaccination. Three of the dogs were pregnant and collectively gave birth to 16 puppies. All had to be vaccinated and they are now all at our sanctuary. We owe Claws almost RM20,000 as donations were insufficient to cover the bill. What to do?
