Trapped And Possibly Eaten Alive. A Mynah Was Foun..

TRAPPED AND POSSIBLY EATEN ALIVE😱
A mynah was found caught in a trap. The trap had crushed the blood and nerve supply to one of his legs. Our veterinary team had to perform two surgeries: One to remove his necrotic leg. Another to stitch up the wound on his head, possibly from being attacked by pigeons or rats while he was immobilized.
Glue traps, snare traps and clamp traps used to trap pests are indiscriminatory of animal species. These traps are also an inhumane way of trapping pest animals as they get injured from struggling to escape and are under immense stress. Say NO to using such traps!
Luckily for this mynah, he made a full recovery and has been returned to the wild!
Our wildlife rescue hotline receives an average of 1,800 calls monthly!
We expend over $60,000 monthly to care for the various needs (dietary, medication, spatial, caregivers) of the animals (both native & non-native) in our care.
