Upsetting Images Rasto Had Been Limping On His Rig..

⚠️ Upsetting images ⚠️ Rasto had been limping on his right front leg for three weeks. 😟 Thankfully there was someone who could no longer bear to see him suffer, so they sought out help for him.
When Rasto arrived at our hospital it was obvious how much pain he was in from the wound on his leg. He was also suffering from leukocytosis which is an increase in the white blood cells likely caused by the infection.
As the damage was too far gone, our veterinary team decided an amputation was the best treatment plan to give Rasto a life free from pain and discomfort. They just needed to wait for the infection to clear.
But very soon after, Rasto started to show signs of cat flu, meaning he was too weak for surgery. Rasto just couldn’t catch a break. 😔
It took over two months for Rasto to recover from cat flu, and finally have the amputation he needed. He’s now recovering from the surgery and learning how to adjust to life on three legs. All fingers and paws crossed, Rasto will be able to move into one of our cat suites when he is well enough.
Cats like Rasto depend on your support to help them receive the treatment they need to recover. They have nowhere else to go, and no one else to help them. Please leave a gift to help ensure that cats like Rasto get the lifesaving treatment they need:
