⚠️ Upsetting images ⚠️ Poor Nizio has been through such a rough time. 😥 He was first abandoned on the streets, and then hit by a car and injured not long after. Even though he was hurt and scared, he had no one to look after him. 😟

By the time Nizio arrived in our care, he had been suffering for two days. The accident had caused his eyeball to protrude, which must have been so painful for him.

After examination, our veterinary team found that the eye had grown necrotic and there was a hematoma behind the eyeball meaning he was at high risk of infection.

To give Nizio the best chance of recovery, our veterinary team performed an enucleation which is the surgical removal of the eye. He’s now recovering in our hospital.
