You may have heard Mirko’s harrowing story already as it sent shockwaves around Soi Dog and on social media following her arrival just over a year ago.

The victim of unthinkable cruelty, she arrived with her front legs barely attached to her body. Someone had slashed her with a brush cutter and left her for dead in a rubber plantation. The damage was so severe, both legs had to be urgently amputated.

We often speak about the resilience of street dogs, and Mirko is a prime and perfect example. She’s risen to the challenges of her mobility without a whimper or a growl, taking to her wheelchair and prosthetics with ease and grace.
